It was Monday morning and I was having a hard time getting work done. Three days had passed since I had last climbed and desperation was setting in. How desperate? "Sarah, how about we climb at Erie this evening?" Yeah, that desperate.
We left the Ham at 3pm and by 3:45 we were hiking up to Snag Buttress. This was the one chunk of stone I can remember actually finding with little trouble, so I thought it would be a good option for an evening climb. We arrived at the base of Ziz Zag in about 15 minutes, a new Erie approach speed record for me (previous record was 10 hours).
